Data Deletion

Effective July 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of the personal data that Chip Motors, Inc. (“Chip,” “we,” “us”) holds about you, including data we receive when you interact with us on chipmotors.com or through our social media accounts such as Instagram and Facebook. It supplements our Privacy Statement.

How to request deletion

Email [email protected] with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” So we can find and verify your records, please include:

  • The email address or phone number you used with us, if any.
  • If your request relates to a message you sent us on Instagram or Facebook, the username or handle you contacted us from (for example, your Instagram username).

We will verify the request, confirm by email, and let you know once it is complete.

What we delete

On a verified request we delete the personal data associated with you and your interactions with us. This can include your contact details, reservation and vehicle configuration records, marketing preferences, and messages you have sent us through our website or social channels.

Instagram and Facebook data

If you sent us a direct message or otherwise interacted with our Instagram (@drivewithchip) or Facebook accounts, you can ask us to delete the message content and related data we received through the Meta platforms. Send your request as described above and include the username you contacted us from so we can locate it.

You can also remove Chip’s access to your Instagram data at any time from the Instagram app, under Settings, then Apps and websites.

Timing and retention

We aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days. We may retain certain information where we are required or permitted to do so by law, for example for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We will delete or de-identify the remaining data. Please be aware that a request does not guarantee complete or comprehensive removal in every case.

Questions

If you have questions about this process or how we handle your data, contact us at [email protected], or review our Privacy Statement.
